In 2022 the gala raised $84,066 with over 150 gala attendees
The Tiny Footprints Gala started in 2016 by Kristina Oriold and Jen Woods. Kristina’s loss of her twin daughter inspired her to create the event, and her best friend, Jen stood by her as co-founder. Over the next 7 years, hundreds of courageous and hard working members joined the planning committee. This group, each who have been touched by pregnancy and/or infant loss are an integral part of the success of the gala each year. The gala has seen tremendous support through partners, silent auction items and attendees, thus raising over $600,000, helping fund pregnancy and infant loss programs in Calgary.
In 2020 Tiny Footprints Gala chose to donate funds from that years gala to a Calgary based charity, the Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre (PILSC) that provides no-cost support services to those navigating infertility, pregnancy and infant loss. During an incredibly difficult time, these funds were life saving for bereaved Calgarians. Over the next two years, PILSC were proud recipients of the TF gala funds. In 2022 Kristina and Jen passed the gala into the trusted hands of PILSC founders Aditi Loveridge and Danyelle Kaluski, who are honoured to continue the gala and deepen PILSC’s support offerings through this incredible fundraising initiative.
2022 in Review
The 7th annual Tiny Footprints gala was a huge success. Being that this was the first gala that was back to being held entirely in-person, the love and the support in the room was palpable.
